The history of this grape and this wine tell a lot about the family, starting from the name, “Conte Antonio”, a tribute to the father of Maria Giulia Frova: already in the 90s it was Count Antonio who had the intuition – the first year of official production is 1995 – to recover a native Tuscan vine such as Colorino, enhancing its potential, longevity and extraordinary polyphenolic structure, and that precisely in a period in which the dominant trend was to invest mainly in international varieties.
The birth of this wine was intertwined with the friendship and long-lasting collaboration of the Count with the oenologist Vittorio Fiore, in those years a companion in adventure and in many wine conversations.
With the 2015 vintage we celebrate the excellence of harvest number 20!
